Taiwanese company imCore presented Core Studio at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) in Taipei on Saturday, 7 November 2026. It is an AI filmmaking platform that tries to cover the whole chain in one place: script breakdown, storyboard, image and video generation, VFX, edit and color grade. It ships with more than 24 specialized agents, from screenwriter and casting manager to compositor and colorist.
What follows comes from Variety's report by Lin Ying-Hsuan, published on 7 November, and from imCore's own Core Studio page, both read on 8 November. We have not used Core Studio. Everything about how well it works is imCore's claim.

What imCore showed in Taipei
The pitch is one workspace instead of four. imCore's page describes design, 3D and VFX, editing, and color as "four islands", and says every handover between them loses something. Core Studio is built to span all four. Here is what the launch and the product page list:
- More than 24 agents. Screenwriter, director, casting manager, wardrobe manager, cinematographer, storyboard artist, editor, compositor, colorist, and more. Each one has what imCore calls a "Praxis Palace", a body of craft knowledge written by people who have done the job.
- Story Atlas. You import a script and it is broken down into episodes, scenes and shots, each one tracked to its characters, sets, props, costumes and voices.
- Provenance on every generation. Variety reports that every output carries the models, prompts, parameters, cost and human review behind it.
- Real Engine. Three in-house image tools: Real Video adds detail, Real HDR takes AI footage from 8-bit to 16-bit color, and Real Revive restores blown-out highlights.
- Professional delivery. imCore lists 16-bit EXR and Apple ProRes 4444 support, and a grading page with wheels, curves and nodes.
- Its own image model, plus others. Variety says the platform runs on an in-house image model and also works with outside models.
- Team work. A cloud workspace with real-time communication, version control and access management.
One thing to know before you plan around it. On 8 November, imCore's home page showed a countdown: "We are launching Core Studio on November 30, 2026", Taiwan time. So Taipei was the unveiling. Public access is announced for the end of the month, and the site offers early access in the meantime.

The part worth studying: the script becomes the source of truth
Most AI video tools start from a prompt box. Core Studio starts from the script, and that is the right instinct.
According to imCore, Story Atlas turns the screenplay into a graph that every agent works from. Characters carry an "immutable Core" (who they are) and a "mutable State" (what has happened to them) that is handed from scene to scene. When a shot needs to be generated, an agent assembles the reference pack from that graph, so nobody has to write a prompt describing what the story already knows.

imCore also says an automatic consistency check runs at four points (storyboard, video, composite and edit) to catch a face, a costume or a voice that drifts. That is the problem that kills most AI series after episode three. Our piece on character drift in AI video explains why one reference image is not enough, and why the story has to carry the continuity.
The provenance log matters as much. imCore's page puts it bluntly: rework, not render time, is the real cost. If you can see which model, prompt and settings produced the take your director approved, you can make it again. If you cannot, you pay for the same shot three times.
What we would still want to see
- A real project, start to finish. Four AI-assisted projects were presented at the launch, Variety says, including "God Being" by Jerry Zhou. None of them is a public case study with numbers yet.
- Pricing. Neither Variety nor imCore's page gives a price.
- Which outside models. "Works with outside models" is not a list. For a production, the model roster decides the look, the cost and the rights.
- Export. EXR and ProRes are good signs for the finishing end. We did not find how a script, a storyboard or a Story Atlas leaves the platform, which matters if your team uses other tools.
- Independent tests. imCore publishes creative writing scores for its writing agent, Teyo, on EQ-Bench. Those are imCore's measurements.

Start FreeWhat this means if you work in ScreenWeaver
ScreenWeaver is not Core Studio, and we are not going to pretend we know how Core Studio behaves in production. But the direction is the same one we bet on: the script and its story elements are the source of truth, and every shot should cite them instead of re-describing them. In ScreenWeaver, characters, places and objects live as story elements, and each shot's panel prompt points to them, which is what keeps the same face across a sequence. Our previz from script guide walks through that flow.
The difference in scope is real. Core Studio wants to go all the way to the grade. If you are preparing a series and the hard part is the breakdown, the storyboard and the continuity, a script-first tool is where to start. If you are building a full anime or series pipeline, our AI anime production pipeline shows where each tool fits.
Checklist before you trust any all-in-one AI studio
- Import a real script, not a demo. Check that every character, place and prop is found, and that renaming one updates the whole breakdown.
- Generate the same character in five scenes. If scene five does not match scene one, the continuity promise is not met.
- Open the log of one approved shot. You should see the model, the prompt, the settings and the cost.
- Ask which outside models are available, and what the license is for each.
- Export the script, the storyboard and the final frames. If anything stays locked in, note it before the team commits.
- Price one finished minute, rework included, before you price a season.
FAQ
What is Core Studio? An AI filmmaking platform from the Taiwanese company imCore Corp, presented at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest in Taipei on 7 November 2026. It covers script breakdown, storyboard, image and video generation, VFX, editing and color grading in one workspace, with more than 24 specialized agents.
Is Core Studio available now? Not to everyone. On 8 November 2026, imCore's site announced the launch for 30 November 2026, Taiwan time, and offered early access before that.
What is Story Atlas? The Core Studio tool that breaks an imported script into episodes, scenes and shots, and tracks each one to its characters, sets, props, costumes and voices. imCore says the agents work from this graph, so generations use the right references without a hand-written prompt.
Which AI models does Core Studio use? Variety reports an in-house image model and support for outside generative models. imCore has not published a full list.
How much does Core Studio cost? No price was given in Variety's report or on imCore's Core Studio page as of 8 November 2026.
Can I use Core Studio and ScreenWeaver together? They are separate products with no announced integration. You can prepare the script, story elements and storyboard in ScreenWeaver, but we have not tested moving that work into Core Studio.
