Yes. The Screenwriter plan costs $0 and does not expire. It includes unlimited projects and pages, industry-standard formatting, outline and beats, and PDF and Final Draft export.
Is there a limit on pages or projects?
No. There is no page cap and no project limit on the free plan.
Can I export to Final Draft?
Yes. You can export your screenplay to Final Draft (.fdx) and to PDF on the free plan.
Does it work on Mac, Windows and iPad?
ScreenWeaver runs in the browser, so it works on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPad and Android tablets. You can install it like an app and keep writing offline; your work syncs when you reconnect.
Are my scripts private?
Yes. Your projects are treated as private work and are never published or shared without your permission. What you write belongs to you.
What is paid, then?
Only what comes after the page. Storyboard generation is available in the Storyboard Beta plan at $9.99 a month during the beta. AI research and production workflows are part of the Filmmaker plan.
Is it a good free alternative to Final Draft?
For writing, yes: professional formatting and Final Draft export, at no cost. Where ScreenWeaver goes further is after the draft, with storyboards and production tied to the same script.
