How much does Boords cost in 2026?
As of September 2026, boords.com lists four plans: Solo at $39 a month for one user, Pro at $75 (up to 5 users), Team at $125 (up to 10) and Agency at $250 (up to 30). Billed yearly, they come to $26, $50, $85 and $165 a month. Enterprise is priced on request. Check their site for current prices.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Boords?
ScreenWeaver's Storyboard Beta costs $9.99 a month during the beta. Writing the screenplay is free on the Screenwriter plan, which does not expire.
Boords can also turn a script into a storyboard. What is different?
Boords is built around video scripts, in free-form or two-column AV format, and around client sign-off. ScreenWeaver is built around the screenplay: it breaks each scene into shots, and every frame stays linked to its scene and beats, from the first draft to production.
Do characters look the same from shot to shot?
Yes. Character sheets feed every frame a character appears in. Characters, locations and references carry from shot to shot, so Seo-yeon looks like Seo-yeon in the wide shot and in the close-up.
Can I control the framing and camera movement of a shot?
Yes. Every shot has manual controls for framing, angle, movement and duration. The AI gives you a first draft, and the decisions stay yours.
Does ScreenWeaver have client review links and animatics like Boords?
Not in the same way. Boords is stronger for client review, comments and MP4 animatics. ScreenWeaver's Filmmaker plan adds AI previsualization, production preparation and real-time collaboration, tied to the same script.
Can ScreenWeaver turn the storyboard into video?
Not yet. Video generation is rolling out with the Filmmaker plan and is targeted for 30 September 2026. It is not available during the beta.
