The Night Ferry.

0:04Everything we've done so far, you could do with a pen. Now let's see what changes when your writing room has an assistant that has read every line of your script.
0:13Click the AI button on the right of the header. The AI centre opens. On the left, your generations. Everything running or finished in the project. On the right, the assistant and its conversation.
0:27The assistant starts with a welcome message. And it says exactly what it does. It's your script editor. Ask it to make any change to your script. From a simple text replacement to rewriting entire scenes. And you can attach PDF, JSON or image files to import scripts or give it visual references.
0:46Look at the bottom right of the prompt box. A switch between two modes. Flash is fast, for quick edits and simple questions. Thinking takes longer, but reasons more deeply. For story work, structure and rewrites, choose thinking.
1:02What can you ask? Three families of things. Ideas. Log lines, twists, names, what -if questions. Analysis. What's the weakest beat? Where does the pace drop? Is this dialogue too on the nose? And edits. Write this scene, shorten this line, rename this character everywhere. For edits, the assistant changes the script itself. Inserting, updating or deleting elements.
1:27Here are a few prompts to try today, to get a feel for it. Summarise my script in five sentences. List every character and the scenes they appear in. Which scene has the most dialogue? Suggest three titles for this film. Rewrite the first action line in a darker tone. Each answer takes seconds and tells you something about your own story.
1:49And it's also a help desk. If you don't know how to do something in Screenweaver, ask it.
1:56Three rules for working with it. Be precise. Say where, how long, and in what style. Stay the writer. The assistant proposes, you choose. And check everything. Read every change in the script before moving on.
2:12And keep in mind that the assistant works on your script. With you. It doesn't publish anything. It doesn't generate images or videos on its own. And it never changes a line you can't see. Every edit lands on the page. Where you can read it, keep it, or undo it.
2:31In the next lecture, we put it to work on the hardest part of writing. Finding the story.
