The Awakening of the Lantern Knight(랜턴 기사의 각성)와 The King Beneath the Vault(지하 궁륭 아래의 왕)가 같은 기사들, 같은 지하 세계와 함께 한 프로젝트에 들어 있습니다.

0:04A series is not a long film cut into pieces. Each episode is a story of its own, and at the same time, a chapter of a bigger one. ScreenWeaver has a format made for that.

0:17Create the project in episodical slash TV mode. Now the whole series lives in one script. Episode 1, episode 2, episode 3. One after the other. Each with its own acts, sequences, beats and scenes. And your characters, places and objects are shared by every episode.

0:36Here's a real example. Lost Garden. An animated series I wrote entirely in ScreenWeaver. Episode 1. The Awakening of the Lantern Knight. Episode 2. The King Beneath the Vault. Two episodes of about 20 minutes in the same project, with the same knights and the same underground world.

0:56Look at its outline. On the episode track, the two episodes. Below, the sequences of each episode. In episode 1, the awakening, the chase, the sauce tree, the tavern. The whole season on one screen, which is exactly what a showrunner needs.

1:12Each episode needs its own complete arc. An opening, an inciting incident, a turn, a climax. But it also needs a hook that pulls the viewer into the next one. Place a beat at the very end of every episode for that, and label it tension slash suspense.

1:29Use the outline lines of the episode blocks as your series bible. What each episode is about, in two sentences. When you come back to the project in three weeks, or when a co -writer joins through team and sharing, it's the first thing they read.

1:44Television writers also think in teasers and act breaks. The teaser, or cold open, is a short opening scene before the titles that hooks the viewer. And each act ends on a small cliffhanger, originally to bring viewers back after the commercial break. Even with no ads, it's a great discipline. Every act break should make us want the next act.

2:05Shared elements are the real power of the episodical format. A character created in episode 1 is the same character in episode 5, with the same description, and later the same face on screen. Keep the names consistent across the whole series.

2:22When you export, choose the episode you want. An episode is exported one at a time, as its own script.

2:30Your exercise. If your story is a series, create the project in episodical mode. Add at least two episodes, and write a two -sentence outline for each. Next, the shortest format of all. The vertical short drama. Next, the shortest format.
